Q) What is the Code for Sustainable Homes?

      A) This is the new STAR RATING for ALL NEW BUILD homes.
       As from 1st May 2008 all new homes must have
      STAR RATING CERTIFICATES for their HOME BUYERS PACKS

Q) What does the Sustainable Development Code apply to?

        A) All new build projects for Residential Properties:

a. Houses

b. Flats

c. Apartments

d. Residential Homes

Q)   When does it apply?

    A) The UK Government confirmed that from 1 May 2008 it would be mandatory for all new homes to have a star rating against the Code. Please note that the new mandatory regulations for providing ratings do not apply to properties (individual or as part of an ongoing development) where the Building Notice was received prior to 30 April 2008.
